為協助農曆春節疏運，國防部規劃即日起至24日，由空軍派遣2架C-130型運輸機，於松山及屏東機場待命支援外、離島地棒球外套區的緊急輸運作業。一般民眾搭乘軍機每位將收取新台幣1千元的費用，軍人則需支付最低60元的保險費。

農曆春節期間是民眾返鄉高峰，但外、離島地區若遭遇天候不佳的情況，導致班機停飛時，民眾可能受困機場，影響後續行程的安排。加上復興空難取消部分航班，更使得春節疏運的運能受到挑戰。

為此，國防部規劃在除夕前1天的17日至26日，依過去春節疏運往例，由空軍在松山及屏東機場各派遣1架C-130運輸機，待命應援外島澎湖、金門、馬祖等地區，當民間運量無法及時負荷需求時，就會啟動緊急輸運機制。

國防部後次室後勤管理處處長周一新表示，這次服務的對象以中華民國國民為主，不包含大陸旅客，依照交通部建議標準，搭乘軍機的民眾每位會收取新台幣1千元的費用。她說：『(原音)我們是依據交通部運輸基準的訂定，大概每位收費標準為1千元，船運的話當然有不同的航程跟行程，這個我們網站會公告。』

至於軍人搭軍機的部分，周一新則表示，依照規定不需付費，但需付保險費，依照個人意願最低從60元起跳。周一新並提醒，雖然是軍機，但機上安全的操作模式仍比照民航法規，上機前也要檢查身份證，有需求的民眾應特別留意。
